How much do Summer courses cost?
$1314

How do I pay my bill?
Once you have completed your Summer Session registration, click on Tuition & Fees. A popup box will appear with your tuition/fees for that registration. Click on Account Information at the top of the box to process your payment.

When does registration start?
April 23rd at 9:00 am

When is the last day to enroll in Summer courses?

  • Summer registration remains open until thecourse begins. Please see the term dates below.
  • Information about refunds for Summer courses may be found on the Bursar’s Office webpage.

What are the dates for Summer Session?
There are several terms in the Summer Session:

  • May-semester courses will begin May 19—one-week courses end on May 23, and three-week courses end on June 6
  • Summer I—Ten-week session begins May 27 and ends August 1.
  • Summer I—Five-week session begins May 27 and ends June 27.
  • Summer II—Five-week session begins June 30 and ends August 1.

What are the deadlines for withdrawing from Summer Session courses?

  • May 22–Last day to WD from one-week May-mester courses
  • June 3—Last day to WD from three-week May-mester courses
  • June 20–Last day to WD from five-week SUM I courses
  • July 18—Last day to WD from ten-week courses
  • July 25—Last day to WD from SUM II courses

When is the deadline to select the Pass/Fail option for a summer class?

  • May 22–Last day to elect P/F option for one-week May-mester courses
  • May 30—Last day to elect P/F option for three-week May-mester courses
  • June 17–Last day to elect P/F option for five-week SUM I courses
  • July 13—Last day to elect P/F option for ten-week courses
  • July 22—Last day to elect P/F option for SUM II courses

Course descriptions can be found in CyberFriar and the Academic Catalog.

How do I learn whether a Summer Session course is still available?
Check the CyberFriar for the most up-to-date information on course availability and current enrollments. Additionally, you can see a master list of all PC summer courses.

How many Summer Session courses can I register for?
Students are encouraged to take no more than two courses in the summer term(s). If you wish to take more courses, please consult with your Academic Advisor or the Student Success Center.

Can I take Summer Session courses online?
Most summer courses are online–some are asynchronous (ASN), meaning there are no real-time class meetings, while others are synchronous (SYNCH) with regularly scheduled class sessions meeting on Zoom.  There are some on-campus courses offered in SUM II.  Please consult the CyberFriar schedule for course specifics.

I am not a Providence College student. Can I take a course during the Summer Session? How do I register?
To register for a Summer session course, please go to the  School of Continuing Education webpage To apply as a non-degree [visiting] student.

Who should I contact if I have questions about Summer Session course options?

Will this Summer Session course count toward my GPA?
Yes.

Will this Summer Session course appear on my transcript?
